Apple iPhone 7

Apple iPhone 7

Build Quality

Compared to the iPhone 6S release, Apple offers way more options aesthetically speaking for their next step up in the smartphone game. The iPhone 7 was shipped in Jet Black (which was essentially a fingerprint magnet), Matte Black, Silver, Gold, Rose Gold (aka pink) and a Product Red variant. All these were built of aluminum which makes them less likely to crack or become damaged after a year or two of wear and tear – unlike the newer iPhone 8 models that have glass backs and are constantly cracked or damaged.

iPhone 7 Camera Quality

As with every release, Apple users are going to expect significant and noticeable improvements in the camera quality. The iPhone 7 didn’t  disappoint with a 12MP rear camera with improved aperture – f/1.8 versus f/2.2 which was what shipped with the iPhone 6S. The flash has also improved to a Quad-LED flash function versus a Dual-LED flash, which improves the low-light capability of the iPhone 7.

Chipset and CPU – How Does The iPhone 7 Stack Up?

If you’re upgrading from an iPhone 6 series device, or even a 5S, you’ll definitely feel a difference in terms of speed and ability to multi-task. Apple has upgraded the chipset from an A9 Fusion to an A10 Fusion, and used a Quad-core CPU instead of a Dual-core CPU as was the case with the 6S specifically.
